Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has achieved a major milestone with her latest movie, Mother’s Love, which has officially crossed N100 million at the box office.
The announcement was made on Monday, April 13, 2026, through a dedicated Instagram page created to keep fans updated on the film’s progress.
Omotola’s team expressed deep gratitude to fans for turning out to support the movie, noting that its release coincided with both Lent and Ramadan, a period when many people were observing fasting.
In their appreciation message, the team wrote:
“Congratulations to the MothersLove Team and thank you to everyone who has dedicatedly gone out to watch our movie! Thanks again Nigeria and West Africa! We keep moving! Despite our movie coming out at a time when, for the first time, both Muslims and Christians were fasting during our opening week and second week, and newer movies coming out afterwards, your support has been heavy and truly appreciated.”
The actress also shared a heartfelt note via her Instagram Story, thanking fans for their support.
“Thank you Nigeria. We’re only just starting. If you haven’t seen Mother’s Love, you are missing something different, something truly special,” she wrote.
Beyond its box office success, Mother’s Love has also made headlines for its philanthropic impact, becoming the first Nollywood film to donate 100% of its box office earnings to charity.
Earlier in March 2026, reports confirmed that Omotola pledged to channel all proceeds from the film to Slum2School Africa, an initiative focused on supporting education for children in underserved communities.
