Nollywood actor and filmmaker Rotimi Salami has disclosed that he recently experienced a serious health scare that left him hospitalised, saying he narrowly escaped death within the last two days.

The actor made the revelation on his Instagram page, where he shared a photo of himself on a hospital bed while expressing gratitude to God for preserving his life.

According to him, the past 48 hours were extremely challenging, but he believes he made it through only by divine intervention.

“Thank God for my life… I survived the last 48 hours because God said yes.”

Rotimi Salami also admitted that the health issue was a result of the intense pressure and stress he placed on his body while promoting his latest film, Kilanko.

He explained that the project had been both physically and mentally demanding, but he remains thankful for his recovery and the progress of the movie.

“I am not the type to say ‘Devil is a liar’ because I have truly stressed this body. Kilanko has taken too much from me, but still I am grateful to God for life and Kilanko’s progress.”
