The tragic development comes shortly after news emerged that the couple had welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Omayinuwa Mayen Harriet Doyle. At the time, Patrick had shared that both mother and child were in good health, expressing gratitude and joy over the arrival.
However, in a sad update shared on his Facebook page, the veteran media figure announced that the newborn had passed away just hours after birth.
“Omayinuwa visited us briefly at about 10:40 am on Friday, 10th April and returned to heaven on Saturday, 11th April at about 4:15 pm. Her stay was short, but it brought great joy. We would have wished for a longer stay, but alas, heaven thought otherwise,” he wrote.
Despite the painful loss, Patrick Doyle maintained a message of faith and resilience.
“This much we know, though: God still rules in the affairs of men. Our faith in the goodness of God remains resolute regardless. Sibe’ sibe’ Oluwa n’be’. It is well with our soul.”
The news has since drawn an outpouring of sympathy from fans and well-wishers, who have taken to social media to offer condolences and prayers to the grieving family.
