Nigerian music star Crayon has shared a surprising story from the early days of his career, revealing that he once had a strong crush on fellow artiste Tiwa Savage and that a moment they shared in 2018 left a lasting impression on him.
The former Mavin Records signee made the disclosure during a chat with streamer Carter Efe, where he reflected on his journey in the music industry. He explained that meeting Tiwa Savage at the time felt almost unreal, as he had admired her for years.
Speaking further, Crayon said his feelings for the singer went beyond professional respect, admitting that he had a major crush on her while he was still trying to establish himself.
He recounted an encounter between them where Tiwa Savage asked if he smoked, to which he responded yes. According to him, she then handed him what he described as “Backy,” a slang term commonly used for a rolled smoking mixture.
