In a heartfelt statement, he expressed the emotional strain the situation has placed on him and his family. According to him, confirming the paternity of a child believed to be his grandchild is crucial before laying the singer to rest.
He explained that proceeding with the burial without first carrying out the test could make it impossible to address the uncertainty in the future.
The grieving father also disclosed that he has made attempts to reach out to President Bola Tinubu, seeking intervention in the matter. He noted that although the delay has been painful, it is a necessary step to ensure clarity.
In his words, he said he is appealing to people across the world for assistance, stressing that conducting the DNA test is the only way he can move forward with the burial. He added that burying his son now would make it difficult to carry out the test later, as there would be no way to confirm the child’s paternity.
