A Nigerian lady recently ignited online discussions after raising concerns about a perceived shift in how some men approach women.
She shared her surprise after encountering a man who chose to call out to her from a distance instead of approaching her directly. In her own words, she said:
“Is there now a new way of toasting a lady? Because the guy I met just sat down and was calling me instead of standing up to meet me.”
The lady reflected on how things used to be, noting that men previously made more effort to personally approach women and request their contact information. She remarked that such gestures seem to be diminishing over time:
“Before, a guy would chase and follow a woman anywhere just to get her number, but now things have changed.”
Her comments sparked a variety of reactions online, with many Nigerians weighing in and sharing differing perspectives.
One user wrote, “Maybe he’s just shy 😅.” Another added, “Things don change for real oo. At least he tried na, even if na from far 😂”
