Nollywood actress Witney John has called out a man she once trusted, accusing him of removing her name from documents tied to a piece of land they reportedly acquired together, a claim that has stirred reactions online.
She shared the experience in a heartfelt video posted on her social media page, where she appeared visibly upset while narrating what happened.
Witney explained that the issue surfaced during the process of formalising the property’s paperwork. Despite her financial contribution to the purchase, she alleged that the man listed only his own name on the receipt, leaving hers out completely.
The actress expressed deep disappointment over the situation, saying it left her feeling betrayed and emotionally drained.
“The man I trusted and bought land with, when it was time to get the receipt of the land we got together, he put only his name and removed my name. I can’t take this anymore. This is too much for me. I trusted him with everything, and this is what I get in return,” she said tearfully.
Her revelation has since sparked a wave of mixed reactions across social media, with many users urging people to be more careful when entering joint investments, especially in property matters without proper legal backing.
