Influencer and relationship coach Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has come under intense scrutiny following her recent disclosure about battling breast cancer during a live Instagram session with Daddy Freeze.
She revealed that she first noticed a lump in July of the previous year and was informed in January that it was cancerous, although she admitted she was unsure of the stage, as her hospital report did not specify it.
Blessing CEO shared that she had begun preparing for surgery to determine the extent of the disease but stated she was not ready to publicly share her medical report, promising to do so at a later date.
When questioned by Daddy Freeze about the expected cost of the procedure, she confessed she had no exact figure. This prompted a lawyer watching the live session to ask why she was soliciting public donations without knowing the full amount needed.
In response, Blessing CEO explained that while she was uncertain about the total expenses, she anticipated that surgery and any subsequent therapy would be costly and admitted that her fundraising appeal may have been exaggerated. She added that she was planning ahead since treatment might require additional interventions.
However, when asked how her cancer diagnosis was confirmed, she was unable to provide a clear explanation.
Her remarks quickly drew criticism online, with many accusing her of dishonesty and exploiting her followers to raise funds.
