Former Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa has spoken out after a viral video of relationship coach Blessing Okoro, also known as Blessing CEO, stirred reactions online. In the clip, Blessing appeared emotional as she mentioned being afraid because she was at “stage 4,” without giving further details.
Reacting to the video, Uriel questioned the lack of clarity surrounding such a serious claim, stressing that issues like cancer should never be handled casually or used to attract attention.
She pointed out that the video did not specify the type of illness or provide any proper explanation, describing the vague reference to “stage 4” as troubling and irresponsible.
While noting that she would sympathise if the situation is genuine, Uriel made it clear that making such claims without truth or context would be deeply unacceptable.
“I can’t believe we’re actually playing around with something like cancer. All I saw was ‘stage 4.’ No definition, no clarity, nothing explained, just thrown out there so loosely. There wasn’t even cancer written. Just ‘stage 4.’ And even with that, if this is true, then my heart genuinely goes out to you. But if this is not true… then this is actually disturbing,” she said.
Uriel further revealed that the issue hits close to home, sharing that her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She concluded by stressing that serious health conditions should never be turned into content for attention or online engagement.
“Cancer is Not Content. I swear I don’t rate some of our celebrities. This hit home, because my mother is actually battling this. Thank God we caught it early. If it’s true, God is your strength. Also if it’s true, please start removing sugar from your diet.”
