Nollywood star Rachael Okonkwo has addressed a playful remark made by fellow actor Zubby Michael regarding her personal life and achievements.
A video circulating online captured the actress on a movie set with Lizzy Gold and other colleagues when Zubby jokingly commented on her success. He teased her about owning several properties and cars while still being unmarried, suggesting in a lighthearted tone that her accomplishments might be intimidating potential partners. He even added humorously that she might end up spending more time in prayer at Shiloh.
Rachael, however, responded confidently, making it clear she has no interest in a relationship based on financial dependence. She stated that her preference is for a partner who is already established and driven.
She also reflected on her personal journey, explaining that her background has influenced her outlook on life, shaping her values around growth, independence, and purpose.
“The idea is to be purposeful before a man shows up. Where I am coming from is very dark. I am not looking for a poverty alleviation relationship. I want to find a man who has found himself,” she said.
