Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has responded to rumours linking him romantically with fellow actress BamBam amid speculation about challenges in her marriage to Teddy A.
During an interview with BBC Igbo, the actor addressed the claims and explained how he handles romantic scenes with colleagues, especially those who are married.
Arukwe said he makes a conscious effort to remain professional while filming and is careful whenever a script requires physical contact with a co-star. According to him, he usually asks for permission before performing such scenes to ensure there are no misunderstandings.
“I met Bambam for the first time when we shot that movie and before filming, I was always asking my co-lead actor if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones because I don’t want them to have problems at home,” he said.
The actor also explained that whenever a script includes intimate scenes, he ensures there is clear consent from the other actor before proceeding. He emphasized that everything done on set is strictly part of the job and should not be taken personally.
“I’m very careful with things like that. I always ask first because I respect people’s homes and marriages,” he added.
His statement comes as online discussions continue to link him with BamBam while also speculating about a possible crisis in her marriage with Teddy A.
The rumours recently intensified after BamBam celebrated her daughter’s birthday at a charity home, with Teddy A absent from the photos shared from the event.
Speculation grew further after Teddy A later took to Instagram to celebrate the women in his life but did not mention BamBam. However, neither of them has publicly confirmed that their marriage has ended.
