Broda Shaggi Reportedly Hospitalised After Alleged Gunshot Injury In Ogun

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering an alleged gunshot wound in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon under the Sango-Ota bridge while the entertainer was filming a comedy skit alongside members of his production team.

A police source revealed that the injury happened during the shoot, although the exact circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear. The comedian was immediately rushed to Blooming Care Hospital, where he received initial treatment.

He was later transferred to Duchess International Hospital in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently recovering.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that officials were alerted after the hospital received a patient with a gunshot injury. Officers who responded to the report reportedly found the comedian lying on a stretcher with a wound on his thigh.

Police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi explained that although the incident happened in Sango-Ota, which falls outside the Lagos command’s jurisdiction, authorities are still making inquiries into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command said the case has not yet been officially reported within the state.
