Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has shared emotional reflections on the sudden death of his close friend and colleague, Allwell Ademola, during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV.
Speaking candidly, Salami avoided speculation about the circumstances surrounding her passing. Instead, he reflected on how unpredictable life can be, noting that tragedies sometimes happen regardless of how careful a person is about their health.
He explained that although many people were aware that the late actress had struggled with asthma and made efforts to take care of herself, some things remain beyond human control.
“Honestly, I believe it was simply her time,” Salami said. “When cardiac arrest strikes, it doesn’t matter who you are or how cautious you’ve been.”
The actor also opened up about the strong friendship he shared with Ademola, describing a bond that was well known to his family. According to him, his wife fully understood how important the late actress was in his life.
He added with a light laugh that if his wife had ever felt uneasy about their closeness, he would have respected her feelings and stepped back.
“My wife knew both of us very well,” he said. “If she had not been comfortable with the friendship, things might have been different.”
Salami’s comments reflected both sorrow and appreciation, highlighting the genuine connection the two Nollywood figures shared. For him, Ademola’s passing is more than just another sad story in the news it is a powerful reminder that life does not always follow the plans people make.
