Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has stirred conversations on social media after addressing the issue of body shaming and cosmetic surgery.

In a video posted online, the actress called out what she described as hypocrisy among some men when it comes to discussions about body positivity.

According to her, many women are now being encouraged to embrace their natural bodies only after years of being ridiculed and criticised over their looks.

Speaking openly, Nkechi Blessing explained that repeated insults and pressure—particularly on social media have driven many women to consider cosmetic procedures in order to fit society’s standards of beauty.

She pointed out that some of the same people who once mocked women’s appearances are now the ones promoting messages of self-love and acceptance.

The actress argued that this kind of behaviour has partly fueled the increasing number of women opting for body enhancement surgeries.

Despite the debate, she emphasized that decisions about one’s body are personal and should be respected by others.

However, she noted that constant negative comments and online bullying have significantly influenced why some women feel the need to change their appearance.

Nkechi Blessing also made it clear that she will not allow criticism or online attacks to pressure her into altering her body.

She added that her body reflects her hard work and personal achievements, stressing that she is confident and comfortable with how she looks.

While acknowledging that every woman has the right to make her own choices, the actress revealed that the only procedure she might consider in the future is a weight-loss surgery.

She further clarified that body enhancement procedures, especially a Brazilian Butt Lift, are not something she intends to undergo.
