In other news… Tension erupted in a family home when an older woman, identified as an aunt-in-law, reportedly entered her nephew’s residence and confronted his wife over not greeting her.
A video circulating online shows the woman walking into the living room where her niece-in-law was seated on a couch, absorbed in her phone. Almost immediately, the aunt began questioning her about why she had not offered a greeting.
The confrontation quickly intensified as the older woman repeatedly demanded an explanation, looming over the younger woman. She asked multiple times, “Who are you in this house?” and insisted, “Why didn’t you greet me?”
The footage shows the aunt touching and even slapping the younger woman while continuing her line of questioning. Despite the aggression, the younger woman remained composed, responding politely throughout the encounter.
Her husband can also be heard in the video, attempting to de-escalate the situation with repeated statements of, “Thank you, ma,” as the aunt continued pressing for answers.
At one point, the nephew addressed his wife, asking how she would react if her own mother entered the home: “If your mother comes in, won’t you greet her?”
The video has since sparked widespread discussion online, raising questions about respecting elders, setting family boundaries, and resolving conflicts within households.
