Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has responded strongly to actress Tonto Dikeh’s recent viral school deliverance session.
Tonto Dikeh had visited a school where she performed a deliverance ritual on a student, explaining that God had freed her from the “Marine world” so she could help deliver others.
In a previous video, VeryDarkMan reminded the actress that the school she visited was one he had personally renovated. He criticized her actions, saying he would not allow children to be used for what he called “nonsense.” He also questioned why children from less privileged families are labeled with witchcraft, pointing out that wealthy families’ children would never be subjected to such treatment.
In a March 7 post on Instagram, VDM accused Tonto Dikeh of stigmatizing the girl involved for the sake of creating content to glorify herself. He further warned that he had instructed local youths in the Durumi area to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
The activist urged the actress to focus on highlighting the real struggles people face in the community rather than targeting children in his neighborhood.
He wrote:
“WHEN I SAW THE REASON BEHIND THE TONTO DIKEH VIRAL DELIVERANCE WITH AN INNOCENT GIRL I WAS MORE PIZZD……TONTO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, I have told all the boys in that area to make sure what you did yesterday never repeats itself again, you have put a stigma on that poor innocent girl because you want to glorify yourself in your new FOUND CONTENT…..LEAVE DURUMI ALONE, OR CREATE AWARENESS ON THE POOR STATE OF THINGS THE PEOPLE ARE FACING.”
