- A woman has cried out online after helping her friend who had been in labor for nearly 20 hours get to the hospital for an emergency C-section.
- She said the friend’s husband refused to pay the ₦850,000 hospital bill and insisted that she, who took his wife to the hospital, should cover the cost.

A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her distress after the husband of her friend allegedly refused to pay a hospital bill of ₦850,000 following his wife’s delivery through a Caesarean section.
In her account, the woman said she helped rush her friend to the hospital after the pregnant woman had been in labor for nearly 20 hours.
According to her, doctors later advised an emergency C-section after discovering that the baby was too big for a normal delivery.
“I helped my friend, who had been in labor for almost 20 hours, get to the hospital. The doctor said the baby was too big and advised a C-section to save both mother and child,” she said.
After the successful procedure, she contacted her friend’s husband to inform him about the delivery and the hospital bill.
“After the procedure, I called my friend’s husband to inform him that his wife had delivered via C-section, with the bill totaling ₦850,000,” she explained.
However, she claimed the man refused to take responsibility for the payment.
“But the husband said I, who took his wife to the hospital, should be the one to pay, claiming he didn’t have that kind of money,” she added.
The woman said the situation has left her overwhelmed as she seeks help and advice on how to handle the unexpected financial burden.I
In other news….Social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticised actress Tonto Dikeh following a viral video showing her conducting a “deliverance” session at a school. He accused the actress of turning the situation involving young students into content for social media rather than offering meaningful support.
Earlier, Tonto Dikeh had shared several clips on Friday, March 6, 2026, showing what she described as a spiritual encounter during a visit to the school. According to her, she and her team were at the location for an evangelism outreach and were already preparing to leave when she sensed what she called a “spirit of death” around the area.
The actress explained that she immediately informed her team about the feeling, and they began praying, which later turned into a deliverance session involving some of the students.
Reacting to the videos, VeryDarkMan warned the actress to keep away from the school, noting that it is located in his community. He also urged her to focus on addressing issues within her own family instead of staging public spiritual activities involving children.
The critic further condemned what he described as the exploitation of underprivileged students for dramatic spiritual displays online. He added that he had personally contributed to the school by renovating parts of it in order to support and motivate the children.
“With all due respect to TONTO DIKEH…..this is a warning DO NOT COME TO MY AREA TO DO THIS AGAIN….NA ONLY POOR MAN CHILDREN GOOD TO TEST YOUR POWERS, LEAVE MY AREA KIDS ALONE, we want to raise kids with real life orientation not an ideology that if you don’t make it there is something following you from village, prayers are good however without work prayers are not useful….TAKE YOUR NEW CONTENT SOMEWHERE ELSE LEAVE GHETTO KIDS ALONE,” VeryDarkMan wrote in caption.
