Comedian and content creator Carter Efe, along with Kolu Wahala and their team, were released on Thursday after resolving a dispute with singer Portable at a police station in Sango, Ogun State.

The incident followed their arrest the previous night, which stemmed from a confrontation at Portable’s Odogwu Bar. According to reports, Portable had contacted law enforcement during the unplanned visit, citing concerns for his safety, leading to the temporary detention of Carter Efe, Kolu, and their associates.

After their release, Portable posted a video on Instagram confirming that the matter had been amicably settled, crediting a man named Ija Omode Oga of Destiny Record for mediating the resolution. He stated that the police allowed the group to leave once the agreement was finalized.

Despite the reconciliation, Portable expressed disappointment with Kolu, a former artist under his Zeh Nation label. He accused Kolu of being ungrateful for leaving the platform that helped launch his career in Lagos to collaborate with Carter Efe instead. Portable also recounted the support he had provided Kolu when introducing him to the entertainment industry.

Additionally, Portable commented on Kolu’s relationship with his girlfriend, Chidinma, who was previously linked to another content creator, 10 Naira. He suggested that her involvement with Kolu was influenced by financial considerations, adding that many women often make romantic choices based on a man’s wealth.
