Winnie Miller has accused the Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Eugene Cheta Epelle, of ordering people to attack her after she posted a video showing the poor condition of a secondary school in the area.

According to Miller, the incident happened on Sunday when the chairman allegedly visited her family house. She said he confronted her mother and accused her of trying to damage his reputation on social media because of the video she shared online.

Miller claimed that the chairman said she had insulted his office before instructing some people to beat her in his presence.

She said the situation could have turned deadly if not for the intervention of people nearby who stepped in and stopped the attack.

The young woman had earlier posted photos and videos online showing the dilapidated state of a secondary school in Ahoada West Local Government Area in Rivers State, which drew attention on social media.

In her words: “The Chairman of Ahoada West LGA, Eugene Cheta Epelle, came to my house on Sunday and confrønted my mother, telling her that her daughter wants to damage his image on social media because of the video I posted showing the dilapidated secondary school in Ahoada West. He said I had insulted his office and then instructed people to beat me right in front of him. If not for the intervention of people around, they would have succeeded in k?ll!ng me.”

The allegation has since sparked reactions online, with many calling for an investigation into the incident.
