A married woman has ignited online conversations after candidly expressing her frustration with her marriage and life.
In a video that quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), she shared that, while reflecting in front of a mirror, she realized she has been married for 14 years.
What stood out to her, however, was what she considered her sole “achievement” during that time.
She said:
“Have been looking at myself in the mirror and thinking about my life, this year makes it my 14 years in marriage. Guy, let me tell you what achievement I have achieved, na 6 children. Na 6 children be my achievement in 14 years in marriage.
This thing is really annoying me. Abi na only to born, born, born I come for this marriage to do? The thing just dey vex me one kind.”
Her heartfelt confession has sparked a mix of reactions online. While many women expressed empathy, others advised her to broaden her view of what success can look like.
One social media user commented, “Six children is not a small achievement madam, everything is not money.” Another added, “Some women silently feel this way but won’t talk.”
The video has reignited discussions about identity, purpose, and the pressures women often experience in long-term marriages.
