In other news…. Livinus Nwosu has continued to weigh in on the ongoing clash between Mukoro Michelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, and Ratel Movement leader Martins Vincent Otse, widely called VDM.
The disagreement, which began as a heated exchange on social media, soon drew in other personalities, including President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, as well as several online commentators.
Addressing the controversy, Seyi Tinubu issued a statement via his verified Instagram page, clarifying the nature of his connection with King Mitchy. He explained that he had met her only once and offered assistance in the same way he would support any other individual.
However, Nwosu pushed back against that narrative by reposting a video montage circulating online. The clips were shared in an apparent attempt to question Tinubu’s claims.
In one of the videos, King Mitchy appeared dancing and speaking about how, during Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday celebration last year, he allegedly arranged police security for her while she distributed food items, including meat, to members of the public.
Another clip reportedly showed multiple police vehicles positioned at the venue of her outreach programme held in honour of Tinubu’s birthday. Armed officers were seen on ground providing security during the event.
The heavy police presence sparked mixed reactions online. Some critics argued that many Nigerians struggle daily with insecurity without adequate police protection, questioning why such resources were deployed for a food giveaway.
Meanwhile, others cautioned Livinus Nwosu over his comments, advising him not to draw comparisons between himself and VDM.
Earlier, King Mitchy had also addressed the situation, confirming that she has a relationship with Seyi Tinubu and noting that she was in Abuja at the time of the controversy.
