- Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is reportedly seeking a new contract worth up to $130,000 monthly to cover his staff, alongside several demands including improved welfare, better working conditions, and full autonomy in team decisions.

Eric Chelle, the head coach of the Super Eagles, is reportedly seeking a new contract that could see his monthly pay rise to about $130,000.
The Malian tactician currently earns around $50,000 per month from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). However, recent reports indicate that Chelle has changed his agents and is pushing for improved terms.
According to Shina Oludare of FlashScore, the proposed $130,000 figure is intended to cover Chelle’s entire technical crew and personal assistant, contrary to earlier reports that suggested a $100,000 salary for him alone.
Beyond salary, Chelle is also said to have made several demands. These include a private SUV with a chauffeur and security, a house in a secure area with uninterrupted electricity, a furnished office equipped for tactical analysis, internet access, and flight tickets for his family.
He is also reportedly requesting greater professional autonomy, including full control over team selection, the right to choose international friendly matches, and freedom to travel locally and abroad to scout players and monitor talent development programs.
“The NFF has to issue a working contract for my staff, salary needs to be paid on or before 30th of every month, bonus and allowance as per federation structure, request to include my PA in the bonus and allowance structure, proposed salary of $130,000.00 (One hundred and thirty thousand dollars) monthly.
