- Daddy Freeze comments on the custody battle between Davido and Sophia Momodu regarding their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
- A person linked to the lawyer in the case reached out to Freeze.
- The contact expressed concern over the negative online reactions directed at the lawyer after Davido’s public remarks.

Nigerian media figure Daddy Freeze has reacted to the ongoing custody battle between music star Davido and Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Freeze revealed that a person connected to the lawyer in the case contacted him, expressing concern about the online criticism and backlash she has received after Davido publicly mentioned her.
Although he made it clear that he does not condone harassment, intimidation, or online bullying, Freeze said the controversy exposes a larger problem within Nigeria’s legal system. According to him, it is common for lawyers to employ strong language and sometimes make personal remarks in a bid to secure victory in court. He noted that he had faced similar verbal attacks during his own legal battles.
He also questioned the decision to allegedly introduce highly sensitive matters such as references to Davido’s late son into the courtroom exchange, describing such moves as unnecessary and below the belt.
Freeze concluded by pointing out that while a case may be decided in a court of law, social media serves as its own “court of public opinion,” where judgments can play out.
