Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, recently shared the story of how he made his first million pounds, amid a public dispute with socialite Cubana Chief Priest.

According to Fayose, his financial journey began during the tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He revealed that a government contract at the nation’s ports played a pivotal role in his early success. The project involved eliminating wharf rats using specially trained dogs and cats, a venture that ultimately earned him around 4 million pounds in profit.

Fayose, who has been in the public eye recently due to his disagreement with entertainer Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, described the contract as a major turning point in his career. He explained that he deployed hundreds of dogs and cats to secure the ports and eradicate the rodent problem before the facilities were handed over to concessionaires.

Beyond this initial achievement, Fayose expanded his wealth through another significant contract with MTN Nigeria, a leading telecommunications company. He managed the maintenance and security of the company’s base stations nationwide, employing guards to safeguard the installations. This venture provided him with an additional substantial income stream.

Upon returning to Nigeria in 2002, Fayose also ventured into agriculture, focusing on timber farming. He invested in thousands of mahogany seedlings, which have appreciated in value over the years. He emphasized that this long-term investment remains a steady source of wealth.

Amid widespread curiosity about his financial background, Fayose clarified that his fortune stems from a combination of contracts, farming, and business ventures. He confidently stated that even if he lost all his current assets, he could rebuild his wealth through his strategic investments.
