In other news…..Nicki Minaj has made her stance on transgender issues clear, expressing support for adults making their own choices but opposing gender-affirming surgeries for minors.
In an interview with Katie Miller, Nicki stated that she has “no problem” with transgender adults and believes adults should have complete control over their bodies, adding, “more power to them.”
She emphasized, “I personally don’t have an issue with the trans part of the LGBT at all … I am the biggest advocate for adults being able to do whatever the heck they want to do. They’re adults. I don’t care.”
However, her position shifts when it comes to children. Nicki made it clear that she is strongly against minors undergoing gender-affirming surgeries, describing it as “a different ballgame” compared to adult decisions.
To explain her perspective, she used her own family as an example, saying she would never allow her 17-year-old daughter to get breast implants.
“I wouldn’t even allow my 17-year-old daughter to get breast implants … So if you wouldn’t let a child get breast implants, you’re not going to want them to have any kind of surgery because we all know the brain is not developed,” she explained.
Nicki expressed difficulty understanding how parents could consent to such surgeries for their children, arguing that these decisions are best left until adulthood.
