Davido’s close associate, Israel DMW, has reacted to the singer’s loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards held on Sunday, February 1, in Los Angeles.

The Afrobeats star was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category alongside Burna Boy, Wizkid, Omah Lay and Ayra Starr. However, the award went to South African singer Tyla.

Following the outcome, Israel DMW took to Instagram to encourage fans, insisting that Davido remains one of the strongest forces in the music industry. He expressed confidence that the singer would continue releasing hit records despite the Grammy result.

Tyla clinched the award with her song Push 2 Start, outperforming Burna Boy’s Love, Davido’s With You featuring Omah Lay, Gimme Dat by Ayra Starr and Wizkid, as well as Hope & Love by Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin.

Her victory marked another major milestone in her fast-growing global career. Meanwhile, Davido’s fan base maintained that accolades do not determine his impact, pointing to his consistency and ability to connect with audiences worldwide.

Israel DMW further noted that Davido’s legacy as a hitmaker remains intact, stressing that his long list of successful releases speaks for itself regardless of award outcomes.

He reassured supporters that the singer’s music journey is far from over, promising more exciting songs ahead.

Davido continues to stand as one of Africa’s most influential music figures, boasting over a decade in the industry and a solid reputation among Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats artists. Although he missed out on the Grammy win this year, the nomination itself was widely regarded as another significant achievement in his career.
