Wahab Okoya, son of Nigerian billionaire Razak Okoya, recently revealed in a video that he had only just learned about the current fuel prices in Nigeria, which he described as “crazy.”
The admission came during an informal chat with twenty ordinary Nigerians who posed personal questions to him. His reaction to the fuel costs highlighted the gap between the country’s wealthy elite and everyday citizens, prompting widespread discussion on X (formerly Twitter).
In the same conversation, shared on the Cruise YouTube channel, Wahab expressed optimism about Nigeria despite the ongoing economic challenges. He noted improvements over the past three years and commended the government for its efforts.
“We often don’t give our government enough credit they are actually making an effort. I think Nigeria has gotten better compared to three years ago,” Wahab stated when asked about fuel prices.
