The actress shared the story while appearing as a guest on a podcast, where she reflected on a troubling moment involving her former boyfriend.
According to Ighodaro, she had recently purchased a new car and decided to surprise her partner by visiting him without prior notice to show him the vehicle. Full of excitement, she drove to his house, only to be kept waiting outside for several minutes before he finally opened the door.
She explained that instead of sharing in her excitement, her boyfriend questioned her decision to show up unannounced. Ignoring his reaction, she walked into the house and headed straight for his bedroom, where she discovered the door was locked.
When she asked him to open it, he refused and informed her that someone else was inside. The situation quickly escalated as he denied her access, later admitting that another woman was in the room.
Ighodaro revealed that when she protested and raised her voice over his behaviour, her boyfriend reportedly summoned security, who forcefully escorted her out of the house.
Although she left the premises, the actress said she later returned to address the issue. It was during this confrontation that her boyfriend allegedly confessed that the woman inside the room was pregnant, claiming he stopped Ighodaro because he feared she might harm her.
The revelation sparked strong reactions online, with many fans expressing anger over the way the actress was treated. Social media users criticised the man involved, describing his actions as heartless and deeply hurtful, especially considering Ighodaro’s accomplishments, intelligence and beauty.
Others questioned what more some men expect in relationships, noting that the incident highlighted a painful level of disrespect.
