In other news…. Popular Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has opened up about her expectations regarding marriage, emphasizing that good character, particularly kindness, matters more to her than material wealth or social status.
Speaking in a recent conversation with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown, the actress described kindness as a non-negotiable quality in a potential life partner. According to Isime, genuine kindness outweighs financial success, noting that other shortcomings can be addressed over time when the foundation of a relationship is solid.
The actress also revealed that she feels ready to settle down, stating that at 34 years old, she considers herself to be of marriage age and open to taking that step.
Addressing common perceptions, Isime acknowledged that she is an attractive woman who receives attention from men, but stressed that attraction alone is not enough to determine who she chooses to spend her life with.
She explained that before friendship or any form of relationship can develop, kindness must be present, adding that she values sincerity over performative gestures.
“I am of marriage age. I am 34. Yes, I am a very attractive lady and men can desire me. But I have to choose what I settle with. First of all, I like kindness. I find kindness one of the most attractive traits.
“Before you can be my friend or even relate with me, not to talk of getting married to me, you have to be kind. And I don’t mean performative. I mean genuine kindness. Once you are kind, everything else can be worked on”
