  • BLord revealed at SMFest Awka 2025 that he once lost $1.2 million after a teenage hacker breached one of his apps.
  • Instead of reporting the boy, he hired him to strengthen his company’s security.
  • The story sparked mixed reactions some praised the move as smart and strategic, while others expressed doubts due to BLord’s controversial past.

Popular entrepreneur BLord has sparked intense conversation after revealing at SMFest Awka 2025 how he dealt with a teenage hacker who broke into one of his apps early in his career.

BLord explained that the boy was “a very small boy” yet managed to hack the app with surprising ease, causing a massive financial setback. However, instead of reporting him to the police, BLord opted for a strategic business move by hiring the teenager immediately to help improve security across his platforms.

In his words, he confessed:

“I lost $1.2 million to hackers on one of my apps. I caught one of the hackers, and instead of handing him over to the police, I employed him to work for me.”

His story drew loud and polarized reactions from the audience. Many people praised it as a smart decision, akin to hiring ethical hackers in the tech industry. Others expressed strong doubt, pointing to BLord’s past controversies, including previous EFCC investigations, as reason to be skeptical.

One person commented: “Hiring the hacker instead of arresting him? That’s genius.” Another reflected the skepticism: “Hmm… with Blord’s history, I don’t know what to believe again.”
