Nigerian music stars Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage have officially reconciled, putting an end to a seven-year feud that began on social media.

The rift started when Yemi Alade made a cryptic post criticizing female entertainers who enhance their curves in photos to “deceive their fans.” This post followed shortly after Tiwa Savage had shared pictures highlighting her physique, prompting Tiwa to warn Alade:

“Don’t start a war you can’t finish.”

The long-awaited reconciliation took place in Lagos on Thursday at ‘The Price of Being Her’ panel, organized by Entertainment Week Africa.

During the event, Alade publicly addressed Tiwa Savage in a viral video, offering high praise:

“I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength.”

Tiwa Savage was visibly moved by the tribute. A video captured the two sharing a warm hug and singing together after the event, signaling the end of their famous rivalry.
