Pat Akpabio, sister-in-law to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has stirred controversy after accusing him of betrayal and linking him to unresolved k!llings allegedly tied to Akwa Ibom politics during his tenure as governor.
In a fiery Facebook video posted on October 11, she said:
“For all the people you people have k!lled when you were the governor (of Akwa Ibom) and those you people have k!lled now that you are in the Senate, it will never be well with you.”
Once part of the powerful “Ukana Ikot Ntuen Cabal” that backed Akpabio’s rise, Pat accused him of turning against loyal allies, naming Umana Okon Umana, Nsima Ekere, Akan Udofia, and Bassey Albert as those he “betrayed.”
She declared:
“Akpabio forgets easily the good things people have done for him. In 2027, if he contests again, he will be disgraced.”
Pat, who is married to Ibanga Akpabio, also alleged that the Senate President falsely accused her husband of m¥rder and stealing his money after the 2019 election.
“You know I love you. I don’t hate you… I stood by you in 2019 when people wrote all sorts of things against you, did I collect 10 kobo from you? Today, you have the audacity to say that you are the one that made me,” she said.
She further mocked Akpabio’s record as a federal lawmaker, saying his hometown, Ukana Ikot Ntuen, has lacked electricity for weeks.
Ending her rant, Pat issued a warning:
“When you finish, go home. This is your quit notice. Nigerians don’t know who you are. When they do, they’ll know you are a very wicked man.”
She also urged President Bola Tinubu to be cautious around the Senate President, threatening to reveal more “damaging” secrets if he responded.
