Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti, wife of the Abia State Governor, has called on husbandsespecially those whose wives give birth to multiple babies—not to leave them to face challenges alone.
Speaking at FMC Umuahia during her visit to Mrs. Ehighibe, who delivered four babies via Cesarean Section, Otti, represented by Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Maureen Aghukwa said: “No woman should be left to struggle alone because she was delivered of multiple babies.”
She explained she mobilized her team to ensure proper care, describing the delivery as “a miracle for the family and for Abia State.” She added: “My office is always open to support families blessed with multiple births. No woman should be left to struggle alone after bringing such joy into the world.”
Otti also highlighted ongoing crèche facilities and encouraged exclusive breastfeeding.
The Medical Director, through Head of Nursing Mrs. Nnenna Imo, praised Governor Alex Otti and his wife for prioritizing women’s welfare.
Father of the quadruplets, Mr. Chibueze Ehighibe, who works with the Nigerian Correctional Centre, expressed “profound gratitude to the Governor’s wife for remembering his family.”
