Erika Kirk Named New CEO of Turning Point USA After Husband’s Tragic Death

Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, has been appointed as the new CEO of Turning Point USA after her husband’s tragic death.

Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of the conservative youth organization, was fatally shot during a speech at Utah Valley University while “engaging with an audience member about mass shootings in the United States.”

Turning Point USA confirmed Erika’s appointment on September 18, 2025, stating she was unanimously elected by the board. The organization revealed, “Charlie Kirk had expressed to multiple executives his wish for his wife, Erika Kirk, to succeed him as CEO in the event of his death.”

The suspected killer, 22-year-old Tyler James Robinson, has been charged with “aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.”

Donald Trump, a close ally of Kirk, honored him by announcing, “I will posthumously award Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.” He also ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff.

Trump further confirmed Robinson’s arrest during an interview with Fox News.
