Nigerian comedian and skitmaker Sanku has died from injuries sustained in a car accident along Ogbomoso Road, Oyo State.

Actor Yemi Elesho confirmed his death on Monday, which has left the entertainment industry in shock. In an eerie twist, Sanku had shared a skit on August 4 where he humorously imagined himself in heaven after death.

Nollywood stars and fans have since flooded social media with tributes, with actress Funmi Awelewa expressing heartbreak: . “The pain, the effort, the strength, the struggle… walai nothing make sense. I’m heartbroken. Even film sef never come out! It does not make sense.”
