Veteran highlife musician Bright Chimezie has debunked the notion that alcohol or smoking enhances creativity.
Speaking on a recent episode of the CreativTea Podcast, Chimezie dismissed the belief as a misconception, stressing that such habits are simply recreational and have nothing to do with artistic inspiration.
“The idea that you must drink or smoke to create music is not true. If you choose to drink or smoke, you’re only doing it for fun it doesn’t increase creativity,” he explained.
The music legend emphasized that true inspiration for music comes naturally and cannot be forced through external substances.
