The Lagos State Government has shut down Dowen College in Lekki over illegal waste disposal.
Tokunbo Wahab, the State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, shared the news on X, alongside a video showing two school staff members caught disposing of waste indiscriminately.

The comment caught actress Toyin Abraham’s attention, and she responded strongly:
“Some of you will suffer from your generation till your last generation. Ègún ò ní kúrò lórí ẹ, àbàshà yámayàma”, she blasted in Yoruba, essentially cursing the commenter for their insensitivity.
Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage also stepped in, taking a calmer but equally firm approach:
“You should probably delete your comment. Please just delete,” she advised.
