Try to answer your DM – Nigerian Woman Marries Man 5 Years After He Slid into Her DM

A Nigerian woman, Deborah Ned, has urged women to always respond to their DMs.

She shared the advice in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, after marrying her husband, Emmanuel Ned.

Emmanuel had first reached out to Deborah via DM on October 16, 2019, politely asking for her phone number and a lunch date.

Deborah replied and shared her contact, a connection that eventually led to their marriage.

She shared their wedding photo alongside the original DM.

“The dm I responded to. Five years after. Try dey answer your dm,” Deborah captioned the post.
