Nigerian comedian Sirbalo has publicly criticized the Delta State government and Shell Petroleum over the persistent lack of electricity in his hometown.
In a recent outburst, the entertainer lamented that his community has been without power supply for the past eight years, despite Shell actively drilling crude oil in the area.
Sirbalo expressed frustration that while Shell’s facilities reportedly enjoy uninterrupted 24-hour electricity, residents of the host community have been left in darkness for nearly a decade.
Sharing his grievance in a Facebook video, he called for immediate action to restore power, insisting that the situation must come to an end.
Accompanying the clip, he wrote:
“Crude oil drilling in my community and no light for eight years.”
