A Nigerian bride has stirred conversation online after revealing that her wedding was abruptly cancelled by the church due to the absence of her biological father, even though he sent a representative in his place.
The emotional story was shared on TikTok by the user @bekee332, who narrated the unexpected turn of events on what was supposed to be her big day.
According to her, all the preparations had been made and the ceremony had already begun when the pastor paused to request her father’s presence. She explained that her father couldn’t attend the event but had appointed someone to represent him.
However, the church insisted that the wedding could not go on without her father’s physical presence. The pastor reportedly refused to continue, and the wedding was called off.
“The church said no, that my father has to come, that he has to be present himself,” she recalled.
