A Nigerian law graduate, identified as Didi Johnson, has recounted a tense incident that unfolded at a hospital after a man refused to sign a consent form for his pregnant wife to undergo a cesarean section (C-section).
According to Didi, the woman had experienced complications during labour, and doctors advised that a surgical procedure was the only safe option. However, the husband vehemently declined, insisting that his wife must deliver naturally.
Despite efforts by Didi and the woman’s sister to persuade him, the man stood his ground and refused to authorize the life-saving procedure.
With the situation growing increasingly urgent, the woman’s family contacted senior members of the family. Upon their arrival at the hospital, the elders signed the consent form themselves, allowing the surgery to proceed.

The last born arrived, she thought it was a joke until she saw his reaction. She called the elders in her family, they came and signed. I don’t know how to describe this man but I definitely know he’s not level headed,” she added.
