The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into a viral video showing a woman giving her infant daughter alcohol to help her sleep.
In the disturbing clip, the woman is seen feeding the child alcohol from a sachet. Reacting via X, the Police confirmed they are aware of the video and have begun immediate inquiries.
They described the act as both dangerous and illegal, urging members of the public with any useful information that could aid in identifying and locating the woman to come forward.
‘’They can reach out to us on 09169967000. The child’s safety is our priority.” the police said
