I Never Betrayed Peter Obi – Kenneth Okonkwo

• Kenneth Okonkwo, has stated that he did not betray Peter Obi, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.

Kenneth Okonkwo, a former Spokesman for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has stated that he did not betray Peter Obi, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.

He expressed this during his appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme, further noting that he did not seek advice from any of Obi’s competitors during the election.

He said, “When I worked for him, I never consulted any politician. I am making a public statement. I never talked to any political party. I was 100% loyal.

“When I left, I told the whole world…I said from now onward, I am not going to speak for this person again.

“They don’t understand what betrayal means. Anybody who is writing or saying anything about me is a reflection of who that person is; not a reflection of who I am.”

Recall that in July 2024, the fiery supporter of Obi during the last poll, parted ways with the former Anambra governor and dumped the Labour Party.
