The incident was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by user @Disculpe, who revealed that his brother narrowly escaped a robbery attempt the previous night.
According to him, his brother had booked a ride using the Bolt app, but during the trip, the driver suddenly stopped, claiming the car was overheating. Not long after, three unknown men appeared and allegedly tried to rob and almost kill his brother.
He wrote:
“Everyone, please be careful using Bolt. This driver tried to set my brother up last night claiming his car was overheating. Three men came out of nowhere to rob and almost kill him. @boltapp @BoltNigeria why do you keep employing thieves?”
