Nigerian highlife legend Bright Chimezie has entered a landmark partnership with Sony Music Publishing, a move set to elevate his celebrated Zigima Sound to international prominence.
Known for his energetic performances and the creation of the Zigima genre, Chimezie is a cultural icon whose music helped define highlife and Afrobeat in Nigeria. The new deal grants Sony Music Publishing the rights to oversee and manage Chimezie’s entire music catalog, including his classic tracks and compositions.
