A Nigerian man who once represented the country’s U-20 national football team, the Flying Eagles, has opened up about his current life as a taxi driver.

Identified as Chinedu Kalu, the former footballer shared his story in a TikTok video where he was seen driving passengers while recounting his past athletic career.

According to him, he played as a midfielder under the guidance of former national coach, Samson Siasia. He also noted that he featured for various clubs during his playing days, including one based in Enugu.

“I’m once a footballer. I played for Flying Eagles. I played under Samson Siasia. I played for Delta Football Club in Enugu. My name is Chinedu Kalu,” he said.

Despite the shift in his career path, Kalu remains positive. “I believe the downfall of a man is not the end of his life,” he added.
