The De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF) has rewarded 25 outstanding students from the South-East with ₦1,000,000 each for their excellent performance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The 2025 DIPF Scholarship Award Ceremony was held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Awka, Anambra State. The event brought together education stakeholders, community leaders, and families of the beneficiaries to celebrate academic excellence.
The 25 students were selected through a two-stage merit process. First, they scored 250 and above in the 2025 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). They then sat for a competitive scholarship examination organized by Best Brain Contest on behalf of DIPF. At the end of the process, five students from each of the five South-East states emerged strictly on merit.
Speaking at the ceremony, the National President of DIPF, Darlington Nwabunike, congratulated the students and urged them to remain disciplined and focused on their academic goals. He emphasized that investing in education remains one of the most effective ways to empower young people and promote regional and national development.
The Chairman of the DIPF Education Committee, Chief Chikezie Okonkwo, also commended the students for their hard work. He praised Best Brain Contest, owned by Dr. Frank Igbojindu, for conducting a transparent and professional selection process.
The scholarship initiative highlights DIPF’s continued commitment to supporting education and encouraging academic excellence among young Nigerians.
