In a tragic turn of events, nineteen secondary school students have been expelled after reportedly sneaking out of school to swim in a nearby river, an outing that led to the drowning of one of their classmates.
The heartbreaking incident came to light through a video shared on TikTok, where a woman, believed to be a school authority, addressed the students involved. According to reports, a group of about 20 students left school premises without permission to visit the river.
Sadly, the day took a fatal turn when one student drowned during the swim and could not be saved.
In the viral video, the woman is seen informing the remaining students of their expulsion. However, she added that they may still be granted the opportunity to write their final exams under specific conditions yet to be disclosed.
