- A Nigerian man, Charles Obinwanne Don, has ignited online debate after publicly comparing the transparency of social media activist VDM NGO finances with those of fellow activist Harrison Gwamnishu.
- The commentary comes amid ongoing tensions and allegations surrounding Gwamnishu’s recent arrest over claims of ransom diversion.

- He criticized those accusing VDM of jealousy, asserting instead that VDM’s openness proves his integrity.

A Nigerian man, Charles Obinwanne Don, has sparked viral discussion by comparing the transparency of social media activist Martin Vincent Otse’s (VeryDarkMan or VDM) NGO account with that of fellow activist Harrison Gwamnishu, amid the ongoing controversy between the two.
The comparison comes as VDM faces claims of jealousy following his alleged role in Gwamnishu’s recent arrest over ransom diversion allegations. Charles’s post highlighted VDM’s consistent public disclosure of his NGO finances versus Gwamnishu’s private handling of his organization’s funds.
In his post, Charles wrote:
“Only una claim say Verydarkman is jealous of Harrison Gwamnishu but since Harrison created his own NGO he never show una the balance, and you people are not tackling him to reveal the balance… but you people are always monitoring VDM’s NGO and he keeps on shaming you guys by making his own transparent for everyone to see.”
Charles praised VDM’s transparency as evidence that VDM is not the jealous party, instead accusing his critics of envy.
“Can you guys now see it that you guys are the jealous ones here! 10 million of you guys can’t pull VDM down especially when people like me are supporting him,” he added, sharing a screenshot of VDM’s NGO account balance to back his claim.
