A massive nationwide Bible distribution project has been launched in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as part of activities marking his 40th birthday.
The initiative, announced on Sunday during a thanksgiving service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, will see one million copies of the Holy Bible shared across Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), said the gesture was aimed at promoting moral rebirth and ethical leadership among Nigerian youths.
Enwere clarified that the project was not just a celebration of an individual but a contribution to national moral revival.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” he stated.
The thanksgiving service was held simultaneously in about 40 churches across the country, featuring prayers and exhortations for the Tinubu family and Nigeria.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, who led the prayers in Abuja, described the initiative as “timely,” given the growing concerns over the erosion of moral values in society.
In a message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organisers, noting that “faith-based education and moral discipline remain vital to building a responsible and united Nigeria.”
According to the organisers, the first batch of the Bibles will be distributed in the coming weeks through churches, schools, and youth ministries nationwide.
